Walt Disney World Resort · Theme park

Magic Kingdom

The castle park, and the one most first-time groups picture when they say "Disney." It is also the park where a single day rarely feels like enough.

Time to give it

Full day, or two if you can spare them

Best for

First-timers, younger kids, classic-ride nostalgia

Confirm park hours, reservation rules, height limits, and closures for your dates.

What to expect

Six themed lands radiating from a central hub, with the highest concentration of classic rides and character moments on property. Crowds peak mid-morning through mid-afternoon; the parade and fireworks pull most of the park toward Main Street in the evening, which is exactly when the far corners get quiet. Plan one anchor attraction per land rather than a list of twenty, and build in a mid-day break if anyone in the group is under about eight.

Planning note

This is the park most worth two days if your ticket length allows it. It is also the only park that hosts the separately ticketed seasonal parties, which end the regular day early on party nights.
